DESCRIPTION:Hosted annually by the club\, the Southern Rockhounds Gem Fair is a key community event in Adelaide’s south\, featuring over 30 stalls from South Australian and interstate dealers. This year’s edition will take place on 31 October – 1 November 2026 at the Southern Rockhounds Clubhouse\, 17 Gerald Court\, Christie Downs\, SA. \nConfirm all exhibition details with the show organisers before planning your trip. Please check our  Terms of Use. \nTickets and Entry\n\nAdults: $5.00 (Door payment)\nChildren: Welcome (supervised fossicking available)\n\nEvent Schedule\n\nSaturday\, October 31\, 2026: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM\nSunday\, November 1\, 2026: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM\n\nFeatures and Exhibits\n\nStalls and Dealers: Over 30 stallholders offering rough mineral specimens\, finished cabochons\, and expertly crafted jewellery from Australian and international sources.\nDemonstrations: Live demonstrations showcasing lapidary workshops\, faceting\, silver-smithing\, and carving techniques inside the clubhouse.\nMember Showcases: Themed exhibits curated by club members\, featuring fossils\, faceted stones\, and rare private collection mineral specimens.\nFamily Activities: Supervised kids’ fossicking sandpit area\, allowing children to sieve for gemstones.\n\nVenue and Visitor Information\n\nImportant Rules: No dogs allowed on the premises\, with the exception of registered service dogs.
