Lismore Gemfest (2027)
The Lismore Gem & Lapidary Club invites you to the 34th Annual Lismore Gemfest, proudly recognised as Australia’s biggest festival dedicated to all things gems, precious stones, and fossils. Hosted at the Lismore Showgrounds just a short drive from the city centre, this premier family-friendly weekend event brings together passionate collectors, expert lapidary artists, and specialised traders from across the country. Gemfest is is scheduled to run from 15 – 16 May 2027.
The Venue is approximately a five-minute drive from the city centre.
Food vendors will be operating, and ATM facilities are available onsite.

Exhibition Hours:
15 May 2027: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
16 May 2027: 9 a.m. – 3Â p.m.
Displays and Featured Activities
- Explore the stalls and browse a wide range of treasures. You’ll find gemstones, minerals, fossils, beads, display materials, and lapidary tools and equipment.
- Try your luck at gem fossicking and treasure hunting on the hill. It’s a fun activity for the whole family.
- See live demonstrations and special displays put on by members of the Lismore Gem Club throughout the day.
- Kids can join the official coloring competition for a chance to win great prizes, like a fossicking kit to take home and a crystal. Prizes are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group.
- Scan your ticket at the event for a chance to win a big adventure bundle, thanks to BCF Lismore and the Lismore Gem & Lapidary Club.
