Bribie Island Gemfest (2026)

The Bribie Island Gem and Fossicking Club welcomes you to the annual Bribie Island GEMFEST at 191 Sunderland Drive, Banksia Beach, QLD. The event runs on Saturday, 12 September and Sunday, 13 September 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Entry is by gold coin donation or at least $2.00 by card, and children 15 and under enter free. You can buy tickets at the gate.
This expo is a great event for anyone interested in lapidary arts, natural sciences, or fossicking. It brings together traders, hobbyists, collectors, and families from South East Queensland to explore crystals, minerals, gemstones, and jewellery making.
Featuring:
There will be over 55 stalls with gemstones, jewellery, crystals, fossils, beads, tools, and lapidary supplies. You can watch demonstrations of fossicking, jewellery making, silversmithing, casting, enamelling, and faceting. Visit the club’s rock and mineral display, enter the raffle for prizes, and let kids try the free fossicking tables to find a gemstone to take home. Food and drinks will be available all day.
Local Attractions:
You can visit Woorim Beach or explore the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage. Enjoy the natural beauty of Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area, which has walking tracks and 4WD access.
